Junior fires career-low 65, Cougars own 1-stroke lead entering Final Round of White Sands WVU Invitational
PARADISE ISLAND, Bahamas – University of Houston junior Hudson Weibel fired a career-low 65 to move into second place and push the Cougars into the team lead following the Second Round of the White Sands WVU Invitational on Saturday.
Weibel began his day on a rough note, making bogey on the par-4 first hole. However, that would be the lone blemish on his scorecard for the rest of the day.
The Dallas native returned to even par with a birdie at the par-5 second hole and added birdies on No. 6 and No. 9 to complete his first nine.
Following back-to-back birdies on Nos. 12-13, Weible sank an eagle-3 on the 496-yard 16th hole and added his final birdie of the round at No. 17.
