AWENDAW, S.C. â€" University of Houston redshirt freshman Zach Tracy fired an even-par 72 for the second straight day and was tied for 22nd after the Second Round of The Hootie at Bulls Bay on Monday afternoon.
Starting his day off No. 10, Tracy finished 1-under par through his first nine holes after draining a birdie on the par-5 13th hole. After enduring a bogey on No. 1, he rallied with a birdie on the par-5 second hole and added a pair of birdies on his final four holes to cap day with a total of 144.
As a team, the Cougars were tied with Richmond for 11th at 579. South Carolina and Mississippi were tied for the team lead at 565, while NC State stood in third at 568. Georgia State (570), Missouri (574), Kentucky (574), Purdue (575), Virginia (576), Auburn (577) and Kansas (578) rounded out the top-10 leaders.
Playing as an individual, senior Matt Scobie joined Tracy with a 72 of his own Monday and was tied for 35th at 145. Junior Michael Perras and sophomore Matt Williams joined Scobie in the group at 135, while freshman Pryce Beshoory was tied for 57th. Junior Papito Gonzalez was tied for 62nd at 150.
Mississippi teammates Braden Thornberry and Ben Wolcott were tied for the individual lead at 9-under 135. South Carolina's Keenan Huskey and Jimmy Stanger of Virginia were tied for third at 139.
FINAL-ROUND PAIRINGS
Tuesday's Final Round begins with a 7 a.m. (CDT) shotgun start. The Cougars will compete in groups with Kansas and Richmond, starting off No. 10
Gonzalez begins at 7:50 a.m. (CDT) Tuesday with Beshoory (8 a.m. CDT), Williams (8:10 a.m. CDT), Perras (8:20 a.m. CDT) and Tracy (8:30 a.m. CDT) following.

Following The Hootie at Bulls Bay Intercollegiate, the Cougars close out their regular season when they compete at the 3M Augusta Invitational on April 1-2 at Forest Hills Golf Club in Augusta, Ga.
From there, the Cougars enter the postseason when they compete on the Copperhead Course at Innisbrook Golf Club in Clearwater, Fla., on May 1-3.
