Mikals Earns Fourth Conference Honor of the Season

HOUSTON - Freshman Sarita Mikals earned her fourth American Athletic Conference weekly accolade of the season as she led the University of Houston volleyball to a big comeback win over UCF Sunday afternoon.
Mikals recorded her 11th and 12th double doubles of the season against the two Florida schools this weekend. In each match she recorded 11 kills while notching 15 digs against USF and 13 digs against UCF.
The freshman standout has now recorded double figure kills in 24 of the 32 matches this season. The freshman is also 14 kills away from reaching 400 on the season.

UP NEXT
Houston will host SMU Wednesday in the season finale and senior night. The match is slated to begin at 5 p.m. followed by a short presentation to honor senior Meredith Ware.
