Swimming Competes at North Texas Relays

HOUSTON- The University of Houston swimming team will compete at the North Texas Relays on Friday at 5 p.m. inside the Southlake Carroll Natatorium. Houston will face relay teams from SMU, North Texas and Arkansas.
This meet will mark the beginning of the 2013-14 season as the Cougars opened up last weekend with the Red/White Intra-squad meet. The meet's format includes 10 different relay races giving first-year head swimming coach Rich Murphy a chance to see a number of his student-athletes compete in a relay race environment.
Order of events:
1. 3x100 fly relay
2. 3x100 Back relay
3. 3x100 Breast Relay
4. 4x200 Free Relay
5. 50-100-150-200 Free Ladder Relay
6. 4x100 medley relay
7. 4x50 free relay
8. 3x500 Free relay
9. 4x100 IM relay
10. 4x100 free relay

The Cougars will volunteer for the Special Olympics Texas aquatics meet this Saturday at the CRWC Natatorium from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.
