HUMBLE, Texas - Due to the wet weather in the area, the University of Houston golf team's Redstone Challenge was postponed Saturday morning, head coach Jonathan Dismuke announced.
The one-day, 18-hole tournament, which features the Cougars, Rice and Houston Baptist, may be rescheduled for Friday at Redstone Golf Club as Dismuke and coaches from each team readjust their schedules. Fans should visit UHCougars.com in the upcoming days for the latest information about Friday's schedule.
The Redstone Challenge was a late addition to the Cougars' spring schedule in mid-January. The Cougars had one day remaining on the NCAA-allowed 24-day competition schedule, and decided to add the Redstone Challenge rather than waste the day.
