2005 Season (Junior)
McAnelly started the season with three consecutive double-digit kill performances at the Houston Invitational (Aug. 26 - 27) ... notched 15 kills and added 11 digs against Stephen F. Austin (Aug. 27) ... smacked 18 kills and tallied three service aces against Texas Tech (Aug 27) ... missed just over two months with a foot injury ... returned to the lineup against UTEP (Oct. 30) ... powered home 14 kills and added season-best 14 digs at Texas State (Nov. 8) ... knocked nine kills on a season-high .429 attack percentage and picked up nine digs in C-USA Semifinals against Tulane (Nov. 19) ... one of five Cougars to pick up more than two digs a game ... enters 2006 season 35 kills away from breaking into the Top-10 of the Houston record books.
2004 Season (Sophomore)
Received All-Conference USA Third-Team honors ... led the team in kills with 490 spikes on 1,469 swings ... was second on the team with 282 digs ... turned in a career-high 33 kills against Southern Miss (Oct. 1), and a career-high 20 digs against DePaul (Oct. 23) ... posted team-leading 13 double-doubles in kills and digs ... recorded double-digit kill totals in all but six matches ... played in all 32 matches for the Cougars ... ended the season at No. 3 on the UH career kills per game list, No. 2 in career attacks per game and No. 6 in total career attacks ... turned in the three highest kill totals of her career with 33 against Southern Miss (Oct. 1) , 29 versus Tulane (Oct. 2) and 24 against Maryland in the season opener (Sept. 3).
2003 Season (Freshman)
Led the Cougars in kills per game with 4.26 ... set a school record with 1600 attack attempts ... named to the Conference USA All-Tournament Team after averaging 22.7 kills per match in the tournament ... named to the Conference USA Freshman Team ... finished 2003 with 10 kill/dig double-doubles ... collected her highest kill total of the year with 27 against nationally-ranked Cincinnati in the C-USA Tournament ... also picked up 9 digs in the match ...picked up a double-double with 23 kills and 16 digs against South Florida (Nov.21) ... collected 24 kills and 16 digs against TCU (Oct. 15) ... knocked down 24 kills against Texas A&M (Sept. 21) ... burst onto the scene in her first-ever match as a Cougar with 22 kills against Wyoming (Aug. 29).
High School/Club
Played varsity volleyball for three years at Langham Creek High School under the direction of Roslin Copeland... named All-Greater Houston, all-district and was an all-state nominee while at Langham Creek... was team captain and earned all-district academic honors... voted Langham Creek's 2002 Homecoming Queen... featured in Elite Students of America, Who's Who Among America's High School Students, Teen Leadership of Excellence and the Honor Roll... Played club volleyball with the Texas Tornadoes... top qualifier for the Junior Olympic Open for three consecutive years.

Daughter of Robert and Caryl McAnelly ... born on May 10, 1985 ... majororing is Consumer Science and Merchandising ... sister Casey plays volleyball for C-USA rival UTEP ... sister Carly attends UH ... hobbies include shopping, going to the beach, eating hamburgers and playing with Sophie, teammate Becca Sartori's kitten ... also recruited by LSU, Fresno State, San Francisco, Texas State and Temple ... chose to attend UH because she wanted to be a Cougar and stay in her hometown.
