Played in just six matches before having surgery... averaged 8.7 kills... had her best match as a Cougar in her last match, pounding out 14 kills and collecting 24 digs against Ole Miss on Sept. 19... collected 13 kills against Saint Mary[apos]s on Sept. 13... grabbed 20 digs and knocked down nine kills against UC Irvine on Sept. 12.
High School
Played 16-5A volleyball at Cypress Falls High School under head coach Kathy Stephenson... averaged 5.5 kills per game and led her squad to a 29-11 record and bi-district championship as a senior... 2002 season totals included 576 kills, 368 digs and 63 aces... named an All-Greater Houston First-Team selection and Cy-Falls Most Vaulable Hitter in 2002... earned all-district honors for three consecutive years... team Rookie of the Year, state all-tournament team selection and member of the 5A State Champion squad in 2000.

Austin and University of New Orleans... chose to attend UH because of 'the quality of volleyball and closeness to home.'
