Competed in seven meets...best finish 18th place at the Sam Houston State Invitational. Indoor: Recorded a fifth-place finish in the mile with a time of 5:14.74 at the UH/RunSport All-Comers meet...finished in 17th place at the Conference USA Championships. Outdoor: Had a third-place finish in the 3000 meters at the Houston Invitational with a time of 10:15.42...finished in sixth place at the TSU Relays.

Regional and state qualifier in each of the last three years...was named Klein[apos]s top senior runner in 2002 after earning team MVP honors and the Bearkat Award in 2001...was a 1999 All-State selection in Indiana...helped Klein[apos]s cross country team finish fourth at the state championships and third at regional championships after winning District 16-5A...competed in the 3,200 meters and finished sixth at the Region II-5A Championships with a time of 11:29.40...advanced to the regional championships after finishing second at the Woodlands Regional Qualifier meet with a time of 11:42.5....was the runner-up at the District 15-5A Championships with a time of 11:29.70...finished third in the 1600 meters with a time of 5:15.32.
