Built By Houston, Military Appreciation, Black Game headline 2026 themes
HOUSTON – University of Houston Football has unveiled themes for its six-game home slate this fall beginning with the H-Town Kickoff against Oregon State on Sept. 5 at 11 a.m. on ESPN.
Houston Football will honor emergency personnel a day after the 25th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks on Sept. 12 against Southern with First Responders Night with the Cougars and Jaguars scheduled for a 6 p.m. kickoff.
The Cougars' Oct. 3 matchup against UCF will be the Built by Houston game in which the Cougars will wear Houston Blue. The Houston-based theme will be unveiled at a later date and will be different for every Built By Houston game each season in the future.
Houston's Oct. 17 game against Oklahoma State will be Family Weekend and the Hispanic Heritage game where the Cougars will welcome families to campus and honor the Hispanic heritage in the City and state.
Homecoming is scheduled for Nov. 7 against Cincinnati which will also be Military Appreciation Day with Veterans Day four days later on Nov. 11.
The Cougars will close out the season with Senior Day and Houston's Wear Black game on Nov. 28 against Baylor.
Fans are encouraged to wear red to the Sept. 5, Sept. 12, Oct. 17, and Nov. 7 games. Fans are encouraged to wear Houston Blue on Oct. 3 and to wear black on Nov. 28.
Kick times and network designations for four of Houston's six home games will be released by the networks later.
3-GAME FLEX PLANS
New this season, Houston's Flex Plans allow supporters to purchase tickets to any three home games with additional flexibility as the package purchaser can select a different part of the stadium for each game if they choose. Fans can sit in the same general area each game, or move around the stadium for different views, interactions and fun.
Tickets vary in price depending on which portion of the stadium you sit in – however there is a discount per ticket ranging from $30-$5 – thus, every Flex Plan is unique to each fan with purchasers picking between Mid-Level Chairbacks, North Chairbacks, North Prime Chairbacks, and Sideline Bleacher back seats. Fans must purchase the same number of tickets for each game.
