Campillo Martinez, McLean-Tattan Join Women’s Golf

Duo comes to Houston as from ULM as first signees under Head Coach Rachel Pollock
HOUSTON – Former ULM stars Daniela Campillo Martinez and Zoe McLean-Tattan have joined the University of Houston Women's Golf program after signing financial aid agreements, Carolyn Macow Leatherwood Head Coach Rachel Pollock announced Monday.
Both student-athletes were members of ULM's 2026 Sun Belt Conference championship team which advanced to the NCAA Tallahassee Regional.
Campillo Martinez will compete as a senior and have one season of eligibility remaining. McLean-Tattan will play as a sophomore in 2026-27 with three years of eligibility left.
They are Pollock's first signees after joining Houston Women's Golf earlier this month.
ABOUT DANIELA CAMPILLO MARTINEZ
Campillo Martinez spent her first three seasons at ULM as an award-winning performer. She was a three-time All-Sun Belt Conference Team member with First-Team honors in 2025 and earned places on the Sun Belt Conference All-Tournament Teams in 2025 and 2024.
The Viladecans, Barcelona, Spain, native finished second at the Sun Belt Conference Championships in each of the last three seasons
"Dani is going to bring so much fire, passion and excitement to the team. She brings a ton of experience and played every competitive round for ULM during the last three years," Pollock said. "She is a leader, and I am looking forward to having her at the University of Houston."
As a junior in 2025-25, Campillo Martinez – whose name is pronounced Don-E-Ay-Luh Cahm-Pee-Yo Mar-Tee-Nez – recorded a 74.10 scoring average with three Top-20 showings. She won a share of the individual championship at the season-opening Jayhawk Invitational at The Jayhawk Club in Lawrence, Kan.
She enjoyed a fourth-place finish with a score of 4-under 212 at the Lady Red Wolves Classic at Sage Meadows Country Club in Jonesboro, Ark., thanks to 69s in the First and Final Rounds and tied for second in stroke play at the Sun Belt Conference Championships with a score of 5-under 211 at The Lakewood Golf Club in Point Clear, Ala.
As a sophomore in 2024-25, she recorded five Top-10 finishes and captured the individual crown after firing back-to-back 67s in the first two rounds of the ULM Invitational at Bayou Desiard Country Club in Monroe, La. That came after a second-place finish with a score of 3-under 213 in the season-opening Hoover Invite.
Campillo Martinez finished with seven Top-20 showings in nine tournaments as a freshman in 2023-24 and recorded a 72.35 scoring average. She recorded the first of three straight second-place individual finishes at the Sun Belt Conference Championships with a score of 2-under 214.
Before joining ULM, Campillo Martinez helped lead Team Spain to the title at the FISU World University Championship Golf at Ruuhikoski Golf Club in Finland and finished third in the individual standings at that tournament.
She claimed medalist honors with a score of 209 at the 2024 Campeonato de Catalunya Absoluto in Spain after opening that tournament with scores of 68-69 and finished second at the 2025 event.

ABOUT ZOE McLEAN-TATTAN
A native of Romford, England, McLean-Tattan competed as a freshman in 2025-26 at ULM. She played 32 rounds across 11 tournaments and enjoyed a 75.16 scoring average and five Top-20 finishes.
"Zoe is an incredible ball striker. She has so much natural ability. . I am not sure I have seen anyone hit it quite the way that she does," Pollock said. "I look forward to watching her game continuing to develop."
McLean-Tattan – whose last name is pronounced Muh-Cleen Tat-Un – opened her collegiate career with three Top-20 finishes in her first four tournaments, including a third-place showing with a score of 221 at The Jayhawk Invitational.
After opening the Lady Red Wolves Classic with a 69, she tied for 16th at that event and tied for 14th after three rounds of stroke play at the Sun Belt Conference Championships.
Before entering the collegiate ranks, McLean-Tattan was an award-winning junior star. She won the Flogas Irish Girls Amateur Open Championship at Corrstown Golf Club in Kilsallaghan, Dublin, Ireland, in May 2025 and finished second at the Justin Rose Telegraph Junior Championship later that year.
She competed for the Irish Women's and Girls' National Squads and helped lead Ireland to a third-place finish at the 2025 European Girls Team Championships.
