HOUSTON – Olivia Schmidt has joined the University of Houston Women's Golf program as its assistant coach, Carolyn Macow Leatherwood Head Coach Rachel Pollock announced Thursday. Her hiring is pending UH System Board of Regents approval.Schmidt became the sixth assistant coach in the team's history.
"Rachel is someone that I have respected for a long time, and there is no better person to learn from. Coaching with her at ULM was one of the best things for me, and I am lucky that she wanted to have me," Schmidt said. "Playing in college and professionally, I have seen the importance of building connections and relationships beyond golf to help everyone succeed. I love people and helping others. I want to help our players achieve at the highest level."
