Cougars open play in Argent Financial Classic at Squire Creek Country Club on Sept. 7-9

The Cougars will compete in 10 tournaments during the regular season with four during the fall and six in the spring campaign.
This season, Dismuke and Assistant Coach Cameron Peck return seven lettermen and one redshirt and welcome the addition of five newcomers to the squad.
A year ago, Houston earned five Top-Five team finishes and captured the team championship at their own All-American Intercollegiate at Golf Club of Houston in Humble, Texas, with a score of 20-under 844.
Houston advanced to NCAA Regional play for the fifth straight season under Dismuke and the 11th time during his award-winning career. There, the team finished seventh at the NCAA Urbana Regional in Urbana, Ill.
THE FALL SEASON

Following the holiday break, Houston opens its spring season when it plays host to the Border Olympics at Laredo Country Club in Laredo, Texas, on Feb. 16-17. It will be the first of three tournaments the Cougars play host to during the spring season.

THE POSTSEASON
Following the regular season, the Cougars enter the postseason when they tee off at the Big 12 Championships. That three-day event will be held at Prairie Dunes Country Club in Hutchinson, Kan., on April 27-29 with the winner of the league's annual postseason event earning a bid to NCAA Regional play.
From there, Houston looks to compete in NCAA Regional play at one of six sites across the country. Those venues include University of Georgia Golf Course (Athens, Ga.); Bermuda Run Country Club (Bermuda Run, N.C.); Traditions Club (Bryan, Texas); Ohio State Golf Club (Columbus, Ohio); Trysting Tree Golf Club (Corvallis, Ore.) and Chin Southern Dunes (Maricopa, Ariz.).
