Eighteen-match schedule features 10 home matches
HOUSTON – University of Houston Soccer Head Coach Ben Williams announced the full 2025 soccer schedule Monday.
The Cougars' schedule features seven teams that reached the NCAA Tournament, including four opponents that reached the Second Round. Houston will square off against three teams that won a conference championship in Texas (SEC Tournament), TCU (Big 12 Regular Season) and SFA (Southland Regular Season and Tournament).
Crosstown-rival Rice visits the Carl Lewis International Complex for an exhibition match on Aug. 8 before the Ben Williams Era officially opens on the road in San Antonio against UTSA on Aug. 14.
Houston opens its home slate against St. Mary's (TX) on Aug. 17 before facing Sam Houston in Huntsville, Texas, on Aug. 21.
The Cougars then return home for back-to-back matches against Texas (Aug. 24) and Louisiana-Monroe (Aug. 31).
Following their homestand, the Cougars head to Nacogdoches, Texas, to face SFA on Sept. 7, before wrapping up the non-conference slate against UTRGV in Houston on Sept. 11.
Houston opens its Big 12 Conference schedule against Cincinnati (Sept. 18) prior to a pair of road trips to Texas Tech (Sept. 25) and Colorado (Sept. 28).
The Cougars return to the Carl Lewis International Complex for matches against BYU (Oct. 2) and Utah (Oct. 5) before heading to Morgantown and Ames, for matches at West Virginia (Oct. 10) and Iowa State (Oct. 16), respectively.
Houston opens a three-match homestand as it welcomes UCF (Oct. 19), Kansas State (Oct. 23) and Baylor (Oct. 26) before wrapping the regular season in Fort Worth, Texas, to take on TCU on Oct. 30.
A new-look Houston Soccer team returns 12 letterwinners from a season ago while adding 15 newcomers to the mix with its 11 transfers and four freshmen. With over 300 games played among them, the 11 transfers combined to win 11 conference titles at their previous schools.
