
McLeod Earns All-America Honorable Mention Honors to Close NCAA Championships

Houston finishes with highest point total at NCAA Championships since 2010
FEDERAL WAY, Wash. – University of Houston Swimming & Diving sophomore diver Michelle McLeod earned a spot in the consolation finals and finished 14th overall in platform diving to earn All-America Honorable Mention honors to close out Houston's participation at NCAA Championships on Saturday.
McLeod qualified for the consolation finals after finishing in 11th in preliminaries with a score of 275.90. She went on to finish 14thwith a 276.20 in the finals flight to earn All-America Honorable Mention honors.
Senior Henrietta Fangli led the way for Houston's swimmers, placing 38th in the 200-yard breaststroke (2:11.19) while junior Virag Peter finished 39th in the same event with a time of 2:11.41. Freshman Lottie Cullen placed 42nd in the 200-yard backstroke with a 1:55.45.
Overall, Houston secured 16 points at the NCAA Championships, its highest point total since earning 53 at the 2010 Championships.
