Cougars to play 18 holes at Seminole Legacy Golf Club each day through Sunday

Beginning Friday morning, the Cougars will play 18 holes with split-tee starts each day through Sunday.
Houston enters this weekend's tournament after sweeping the team and individual championships at the Riverbend Intercollegiate in their last action on March 10-11.
Junior Moa Svedenskiold finished with a score of 10-under 206 at Riverbend Country Club in Sugar Land, Texas, to collect the second individual title of her career. The Halmstad, Sweden native joined Leonie Harm (4) and Megan Thothong as the only Cougars in school history to win multiple individual championships.
Junior Alexa Saldana finished third at the Riverbend Intercollegiate with a score of 2-under 204 after opening that tournament with a 68 while junior Natalie Saint Germain finished fourth with a score of 215. Sophomore Maelynn Kim and senior Hyeonji Kang joined them among the Top-11 leaders.
BACK in TALLAHASSEE
Carolyn Macow Leatherwood Head Coach Lydia Lasprilla returns to Tallahassee with her Houston team following an award-winning career as a student-athlete with the Seminoles from 2013 to 2017.
She graduated from Florida State in 2017 with a degree in in sport management and ranks 14th in school history with a career stroke average of 73.89. She played in a school record 131 career rounds, earned 10 Top-10 individual finishes and won the individual championship of the 2016 Florida Challenge with a 3-under par tournament score.
Lasprilla anchored the Seminoles during one of the most successful four-year periods in the history of the program. With her in the lineup, the Seminoles won nine tournament championships and played in four NCAA Regional Championships and two NCAA Championship Finals. Gumm helped lead the Seminoles to a second-place finish in the 2016 NCAA Shoal Creek Regional Championship and to a third-place showing at the 2017 NCAA Columbus Regional Championship.

Under the leadership of Carolyn Macow Leatherwood Head Coach Lydia Lasprilla, the Cougars will be represented by Svedenskiold, Saldana, Saint Germain, Kim and Kang.
This season, Svedenskiold has posted a 71.05 scoring average to lead four Cougars with scoring averages of 72.25 or lower and is tied with Kim for the team lead with 14 rounds of par or lower.
Saldana is a close second at with a 71.65 average and is tied with freshman Annika Ishiyama third among the Cougars with 12 rounds of par or lower.
TEAM FIELD
Houston will compete in a 13-team field featuring Abilene Christian, Alabama, Chattanooga, Florida International, Illinois, Indiana, Kent State, Missouri, North Florida, Troy, Tulane and host Florida State.
