Cougars tip off vs. Bears at 8 p.m., inside Fertitta Center in Space City White Out game
HOUSTON – Winners of 15 of its last 16 games, the #5/5 University of Houston Men's Basketball program returns to Fertitta Center to play host to Big 12 Conference rival rv/rv Baylor at 8 p.m., in a Big Monday matchup presented by Trust Guss Injury Lawyers.
The game features two of the Big 12 Conference's Top-Five teams with Houston tied with #20/20 Arizona atop the league at 11-1 while Baylor is tied with Kansas for fifth at 7-5.
Monday's showdown will be the first of two regular-season meetings against the Bears with Houston closing the regular season inside Foster Pavilion on Waco, Texas, on March 8.
The Cougars enter this weekend's game following a 69-59 win at Colorado on Saturday afternoon. That was Houston's 10th straight road win dating back to last season and extended the nation's longest active streak.
Graduate forward J'Wan Roberts poured in 20 points on 9-of-11 shooting while sophomore guard Terrance Arceneaux posted 15 points with 13 in the second half. Graduate guard LJ Cryer added 15 points and grabbed a career-high six rebounds to lead the Cougars to the win.
