Cougars in the NFL: Week 16

Four former Cougars are heading to the playoffs while three more remain in the playoff picture
HOUSTON – Four Houston Football legends have clinched a spot in this year's playoffs with another three remaining in the playoff picture as the season enters its final stages. Josh Jones made his first start in over two years for Seattle while Art Green returned to the field after being sidelined in October due to injury.

- Notched four tackles, tied for fifth on the team, while adding a QB hit
- Top-rated lineman for the Buccaneers in Week 16
- With two weeks remaining in the season, the Buccaneers have a 53 percent probability of making the playoffs, per NFL's Next Gen Stats
JOSH JONES | SEATTLE SEAHAWKS | W, 38-37, VS LOS ANGELES RAMS
- Started at left tackle for Seattle, his first start since Sept. 24, 2023
- His offense (75.9), pass block (78.5) and run block (70.4) grades were the best on Seattle in Week 16
- One of six players to play all 68 offensive snaps for the Seahawks
- Seattle has clinched a playoff spot and sits in the top spot of the NFC West, currently holding the best record in the conference at 12-3
MARCUS JONES | NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS | W, 28-24, AT BALTIMORE
- Posted one tackle and recovered his third fumble of the season to help New England down Baltimore
- His fumble recovery with 1:48 left in the game stifled the Raven's comeback attempt
- Played 19 defensive snaps and two on special teams
- New England has clinched a playoff spot and is tied with Denver for the best record in the AFC

- Chicago has clinched a playoff spot and sits atop the NFC North with an 11-4 record

- Oliver remains on track for a playoff return as Buffalo has clinched a playoff spot, just a game behind New England in the AFC East

- Earned the start at left tackle, his 15th start of the year
- One of six Dolphins to play all 59 offensive snaps against Cincinnati
ELANDON ROBERTS | LAS VEGAS RAIDERS | L, 23-21, AT HOUSTON
- Started at middle linebacker for Las Vegas, his 14th start in 15 games this season
- Tallied eight tackles, second most by a Raider in the game, while playing on just 48 percent of Las Vegas' defensive snaps
- Notched his first defended pass of the season

- Posted one tackle while playing 24 special teams snaps for Detroit
