Jones joins Cougars after two seasons at Texas Tech
HOUSTON – The University of Houston Soccer team added defender Kendall Jones to its 2026 roster, Head Coach Ben Williams announced Friday.
"Kendall is a hardworking, dynamic, and aggressive defender who is ultra-competitive in her 1v1 battles," Williams said. "We have known Kendall for many years through her club experience, and she is someone we are excited to welcome into the program.
Keeping her in her home state and close to her family is important to us, and we are confident she will bring tremendous energy, passion and personality to the program on and off the field."
Jones joins the Cougars after two seasons at Texas Tech where she helped the Red Raiders to a pair of NCAA Tournament appearances, reaching the Second Round on both occasions.
The San Antonio native appeared in 12 matches registering an assist on 251 minutes of action. The defender has taken two shots in her career.
A three-sport athlete at Lee High School, Jones helped the soccer team to the 2023 6A District playoffs while twice earning All-District and Academic All-District honors. She was also tabbed a Second Team All-District in basketball.
