Cougars sign All-NEC and NEC Rookie of the Year
HOUSTON – All-Northeast Conference and Northeast Conference Rookie of the Year, Gabriella Garcia-Terrell signed to the University of Houston Soccer team, Head Coach Ben Williams announced on Thursday.
"Gabby is a proven finisher — an all-conference striker in both seasons at Howard with the ability to score in just about any way possible," Williams said. "She's dangerous with the ball at her feet and always a threat in the final third. Her natural scoring instincts and massive upside make her a huge addition to our front line."
Garcia-Terrell spent two seasons at Howard where she started every game for the Bison.
In 2025, she led Howard with nine goals, finishing second in the NEC in goals scored on her way to earning first team All-NEC.
As a freshman, Garcia-Terrell started in all 16 matches scoring five goals while recording three assists to earn 2024 NEC Rookie of the Year.
In high school, the Centerville, Va., native was the 2024 Concord District and Regional Player of the Year while earning First Team All-State and All-Metro honors.
