HOUSTON – The University of Houston track and field and cross country programs volunteered at the River Oaks Elementary Fun Run on Saturday
"It was a pleasure for our UH track teams to be involved in serving our community at the River Oaks Elementary Fun Run," Director of Track and Field Will Blackburn said. "Our student athletes did a great job and we had a blast.
"This event not only benefits our community, but it also gives our student athletes a perspective to see how being a student athlete can impact others in their role positively. Our staff is extremely proud of the work they did yesterday. I would like to thank Angelika Dimoka (University of Houston professor), Candance Day (wife of Houston All-American sprinter) and the community for allowing us to serve."
