Cougars treks to Tulsa, Okla., for final American Athletic Conference Championships before Big 12 Conference jump
HOUSTON – The University of Houston cross country team will head to its final American Athletic Conference Championships on Friday in Tulsa, Okla., before making the jump to the Big 12 Conference July 1, 2023.

Seniors Brandon Seagreaves and Claire Meyer will be looked upon as leaders again as the pair have led his and her respective teams each meet this season.
Meyer has finished in the top 25 in every race this season, including two third place finishes at the McNeese Season Opener and Rice Invitational.
Junior Macie Ellis posted another strong finish at the Arturo Barrios Invitational as Houston's second finisher for the fourth-straight meet. Ellis clocked a 22 minutes, 41.2 seconds time over the 6k course in the team's first 6k of the season.
Seagreaves was one of four Cougars to improve their time between the Chile Pepper Festival 8k race and the Arturo Barrios Invitational 8k race. Seagreaves, graduate Brycen Pitre and freshmen Aidan Killian and Miles Cox each ran faster times at the Arturo Barrios Invitational.
Sophomore Branch Cox was Houston's second finisher in the first three meets of the season before his brother Miles Cox finished second for the Cougars at the Arturo Barrios Invitational.
