He tied the school record with a 63 in the First Round of the HBU Husky Intercollegiate on Sept. 21, 2015, on the way to the first title of his collegiate career. Later in the season, he became the second Cougar in school history to record three straight rounds in the 60s in NCAA Regional play and captured the NCAA Franklin Regional individual championship.
This season, Perras ranks second on the team with a 71.33 scoring average and seven rounds of par or better.
Before beginning competition, Perras and the other student-athletes will take part in a pair of fun events on Friday at El Paso Country Club. Players will square off in the Titleist Long Drive contest beginning at 10 a.m. (CST), Friday, with the PING Putting contest following at 11 a.m. (CST).
