BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -- The University of Houston Men's Golf program looks to continue its red-hot start to the 2015-16 fall season when it tees off Monday morning at the Shoal Creek Invitational presented by Graeme McDowell at Shoal Creek Country Club.
Through their first two tournaments to open the fall, the Cougars captured the team title at the HBU Husky Intercollegiate with senior Vincent Martino (Northern Intercollegiate) and sophomore Michael Perras (HBU Husky Intercollegiate) winning the first collegiate individual titles of their careers.
They were the Cougars' 10th team championship and 10th and 11th individual titles under seventh-year Director of Golf Jonathan Dismuke.

HOUSTON'S LINEUP
Dismuke recently released the Cougars' lineup for the Shoal Creek Invitational. Houston will be represented by Martino, Perras, senior Blair Hamilton, junior Matt Scobie and sophomore Alan De Bondt. Junior Emmett Oh will compete as an individual.
Martino led the Cougars during the season-opening Northern Intercollegiate on Sept. 12-13. The Southlake, Texas, native posted a career-low 66 in the Second Round of that event and finished at 3-under-par 213 to help lead the Cougars to a fourth-place team showing.
It was the second straight season that Martino finished among the Northern Intercollegiate's top-2 leaders and was his fourth career top-5 finish.
Perras made his way into the Cougars' starting lineup after a record-tying performance at the HBU Husky Intercollegiate earlier this week. The Deer Park, Texas, native tied a Houston record with a First-Round 63, becoming only the fourth player in school history to shoot that low in a round.
He went on to win the individual title by six strokes at 8-under-par 205 and led the Cougars to the team championship by 22 strokes over their closest competitor.
Hamilton finished 15th at the Northern Intercollegiate earlier in his lone appearance to date this season. A year ago, the Burlington, Ontario, Canada, native won two tournaments, including the NCAA Lubbock Regional, and earned PING All-America Honorable Mention honors.
Returning for his sophomore season, De Bondt tied for 45th at the Northern Intercollegiate earlier this month. The Antwerp, Belgium, native earned three top-20 finishes as a true freshman in 2014-15 with a career-low 68 in the Final Round at the Valspar Collegiate Invitational on March 24.
Scobie appeared in seven tournaments in each of his first two seasons with the Cougars and tied for 34th at the Northern Intercollegiate on Sept. 12-13.
This will be the second tournament in which Oh will compete as an individual for the Cougars. He tied for 50th at the Northern Intercollegiate. A year ago, the Calgary, Alberta, Canada, native tied for 8th at the Miramont Invitational with consecutive 71s.
FIRST-DAY PAIRINGS
Monday's action begins with an 8:30 a.m., shotgun start. The Cougars will compete in threesomes with student-athletes from Troy and Mississippi State.
Perras will start in the first group off No. 10 with Martino following in the second group off that hole. Hamilton (No. 11), De Bondt (No. 12) and Scobie (No. 13) will follow. Oh will start off in the first group off No. 9 with UAB teammates Henry James and Wells Hooper.
Monday's Second Round is scheduled to start around 1:30 p.m., with the Cougars competing in the same groups and starting off the same holes from the First Round.
