DALLAS - The University of Houston Men's Golf program closes out its fall season as a team when it competes at the Baylor Intercollegiate at Royal Oaks Country Club on Monday morning.
The Cougars will play 36 holes Monday with the final 18 holes teeing off Tuesday morning. Houston joins Duke, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, SMU, Texas Tech, UT Arlington and host Baylor on the 7,068-yard, par-71 course.

The Final Round begins at 8:30 a.m., Tuesday with tee times off Nos. 1 and 10.
Director of Golf Jonathan Dismuke and associate head coach Ryke Dismuke (no relation) have selected juniors Vincent Martino and Blair Hamilton, seniors Kyle Pilgrim and Roman Robledo, sophomore Emmett Oh and freshman Michael Perras to represent the Cougars in the six-man lineup.
In their most recent team event, the Cougars cruised to a 16-stroke victory at the rain-shortened Miramont Invitational to give Dismuke the 10th title of his career at Houston. The Cougars placed four among the top-10 leaders, including a second-place finish from Robledo.
Most recently, the Cougars are coming off a 1-1 mark at the Moe O'Brien Match Play Championship in Lake Charles, La. After dropping a 5-0 decision to host McNeese State, Houston rallied with an impressive 4-1 win over Southeastern Louisiana, led by Oh's 7 and 5 victory against the Lions.
THE LINEUP
Martino has competed in every fall tournament to date this season and leads the Cougars with a 73.50 scoring average and four rounds of par or better. The Southlake, Texas, native has enjoyed a pair of top-10 finishes this season, including a career-best second-place showing at the season-opening Northern Intercollegiate.
Hamilton has been a steady performer in all three fall events in which he has competed, posting top-20 showings in all three. The Burlington, Ontario, Canada, native tied for 11th at the season-opening Northern Intercollegiate.
Competing in his first collegiate season, Perras has been impressive with a pair of top-25 finishes. The Deer Park, Texas, native fired back-to-back, career-low 70s at the Miramont Invitational to tie for third individually and lead the Cougars to their first team title of the season.
Pilgrim endured a rough start to the 2013-14 season but has since rebounded with a pair of top-15 finishes in each of his last two events. Pilgrim opened the Miramont Invitational with a 1-under-par 71 and tied for sixth at the Wolf Run Intercollegiate on Sept. 20-21.
After an award-winning, All-America season as a junior and a trip to the U.S. Amateur Championship Quarterfinals in August, Robledo struggled in his first two starts this fall but was impressive in his most recent outing. The Harlingen, Texas, native fired a Houston season-best 67 in the Second Round at the Miramont Invitational to finish second overall and lead the Cougars to the team championship.
It was the 12th top-5 finish of his outstanding collegiate career.
With his play at the recent Moe O'Brien Match Play Championship, Oh solidified his place in this week's lineup. The Calgary, Alberta, Canada, enjoyed a 7 and 5 win over Southeastern Louisiana's Baptiste Courtachon as the Cougars finished with a 1-1 record.
Prior to that unique, match-play event, Oh fired back-to-back 71s at the Miramont Invitational to tie for a career-best eighth place at 2-under-par 142 and lead the Cougars to the team title.
UP NEXT
With the completion of the Baylor Intercollegiate, the Cougars will wrap up their fall season as a group. Houston won't compete again as a team until Feb. 20-22 when the team plays host to their own Bayou City Collegiate Championship at Golf Club of Houston.
However, Robledo will have one more event on his fall schedule. As a PING All-American Second-Team honoree a year ago, he will compete as an individual at the Sun Bowl Western Refining College All-America Classic. This prestigious event will be held Nov. 7-9 at El Paso Country Club in El Paso, Texas.
