UH Golf Team Prepares for The River Landing Intercollegiate

WALLACE, N.C.--The University of Houston golf team prepares for The River Landing Intercollegiate in Wallace, N.C., beginning Friday on the par-72, 6,942 yard River Course.
The tournament will feature fifteen teams including host NC State, Florida State, Duke, Wake Forest, North Carolina, Memphis, Virginia, East Carolina, Maryland, Tulsa, Kansas, Liberty, Rice and Navy.
The teams will play 18 holes on Friday, Saturday and Sunday beginning at 7 a.m. (CDT) on the first and 10th tees.
Senior Jordan Irwin leads Houston with a scoring average of 73.04. Junior Ben Moser comes in a close second with a scoring average of 73.73.
Irwin and Moser join junior Brady Shivers, junior Steven Frazier and sophomore Jackie Lindsey at the tournament.

The Cougars enter the tournament after finishing 18th in the Augusta State Invitational, which concluded Sunday. Irwin fired a score of 145 to tie for 27th and lead the Cougars. The tournament was cut to 36 holes due to rain.
Following the tournament, Houston will compete at the Conference USA Championships April 20-22 in Texarkana, Texas, at the Texarkana Country Club.
