UH Golf Team Finishes 11th at Palmetto Dunes

HILTON HEAD, S.C. - The University of Houston golf team finished in 11th place among a field of 18 teams at the GOLF WORLD/Palmetto Dunes Intercollegiate in Hilton Head, South Carolina (November 3-5). The Cougars were four strokes under par for the 54-hole tournament but were 38 strokes behind team champion Georgia (822, -42).
Individually for UH, sophomore Simon Robinson paced the Cougars with a nine-under par 207. Robinson was 12 shots behind individual champion Anders Hultman of Oklahoma State (195, -21).
Houston will next be in action at the Rolex Match Play Tournament in Estero, Florida, on November 11-12. The Cougars are just one of eight teams invited to the prestigious match play event. UH will meet No. 1 ranked Georgia in the opening round.
