SOPHOMORE (2018)
Started in 20 matches, where she saw action in 78 sets on the season … Posted three double-doubles on the year, which ranked fourth on the team … Dug 10 or more balls three times, including a career-high 18 in the win over Duquesne (Sept. 14) … Reached the 10-kill plateau nine times … Held a hitting percentage of .300 or higher four times, including a .526 mark in the win over Prairie View A&M (Aug. 28) … Hammered home a career-high 16 kills in the win over Cornell (Sept. 7), having contributed a season-high 17.0 points in the process … Served a career-best three aces in the win over Mississippi Valley State (Sept. 1) … Helped lead the Cougars to their best start since 1987.
FRESHMAN (2017)
American Athletic Conference All-Academic Team... Played in 55 sets across 21 matches, making five starts... Totaled 78 kills, averaging 1.42 per set... Added 68 digs, averaging 1.24 per set, 14 blocks (13 assisted, one solo), six service aces and three assists... Made collegiate debut and first career start in season opener against McNeese (Aug. 25), finishing with a career-high 11 kills and 11 digs as part of a double-double performance.

HIGH SCHOOL
A four-year letterwinner at Concordia Lutheran High School... Helped Crusaders win 2016 Class 6A State Championship as well as two district championships and make three other runs in the state tournament... A four-time All-District and All-State selection and three-time team captain... Twice named All-State All-Tournament... Also a TAVC All-Star... As a senior, totaled 822 kills, 352 digs and 48 service aces... For career, totaled 2,115 kills 1,451 digs and 252 service aces... Graduated from CLSH as the school's all-time kill leader with 2,115 kills... Also garnered Honor Roll laurels all four years... Played club for the Houston Juniors.

Gabriela "Gabi" Andrea Zelaya (pronounced ZUH-lie-yuh)... Daughter of Christen and Rodrigo Zelaya... Moher, Christen, was a four-year volleyball letterwinner at Texas Tech... Father, Rodrigo, was a four-year track & field letterwiner at Texas Tech... Rodrigo was a three-time All-American and two-time Southwest Conference Champion in the javelin and competed in the 1991 and 1993 World Championships... Rodrigo is only All-American javelin thrower in Texas Tech's program history... Has one sister, Isabel... Exploratory studies major.
