Dylan Ross joined the University of Houston Volleyball staff in April 2019 after beginning his coaching career as a graduate student manager at Arkansas State under current Houston head coach David Rehr.Â
A native of Oak Forrest, Ill., Ross competed as an outside hitter for Loras College in Dubuque, Iowa, where he lettered all four years of his collegiate career. By the time he graduated in 2018, Ross had established himself as one of the top volleyball players to ever come through the Duhawks' program, having held the single season and career kill records there.
His senior season at Loras College saw him take his squad all the way to the Midwest Collegiate Volleyball League championship game and by season's end, he received MCVL Second Team All-Conference honors. Prior to his collegiate career, Ross was a three-sport athlete at Oak Forrest High School. He competed for the basketball, golf and volleyball teams, earning All-Conference honors in golf and volleyball.Â
