Cross Country Announces 2026 Schedule

Cougars open season on Sept. 4 at the Aggie Opener
HOUSTON – The University of Houston Cross Country team announced its 2026 season schedule which includes four in-state meets hosted by Texas A&M.

Houston will compete in the Lone Star State throughout the regular season, beginning with the Aggie Opener on Sept. 4 in College Station, Texas.

The Cougars will return to Texas A&M for two additional meets during the regular season. Houston will first compete at the Texas A&M Invitational on Sept. 11, followed by the Arturo Barrios Invitational on Oct. 16.

Houston's postseason begins at the Big 12 Cross Country Championship on Oct. 31 in Stillwater, Okla. The Cougars will then return to College Station for the NCAA South Central Regional on Nov. 13 before concluding the season at the NCAA Cross Country Championships on Nov. 21 in Terre Haute, Ind.
