Concessions offerings set to expand, Houston adds shaded hangout spot in 200-level
HOUSTON – The Houston Cougars and longtime hospitality partner Chartwells, known as Cougar Eats Co., on the campus of the University of Houston, announced the new food and beverage lineup at TDECU Stadium ahead of the 2026 Houston Football season beginning Sept. 5 against Oregon State.
Ninfa's Cantina, Urbe, Absurd Bird and Space City Franks headline the new concessions stand offerings in 2026.
Expanding The Original Ninfa's stand, Ninfa's has added a Cantina which will serve a Ninfarita and a Cougarita (strawberry flavored Ninfarita)– both with 100% blue agave tequila blanco. The full food menu will include Nacho a la Ninfa, Chicken Tinga Flautas, Crispy Tacos, 44 Farms Beef Hot Dog, East Side Dog, Taco a la Ninfa, Shrimp Diablos and sides of queso with chips. The Ninfa's Cantina will be located outside Section 116.
Absurd Bird, offered on campus in the RAD, will serve a menu that includes chicken tenders and "Tachos" – tater tot nachos – that come in a souvenir cougar paw bowl, and more, along with sauces and sides while serving Cougar Paw Red Ale and other beers and seltzers outside Section 138.
Part of Cougar Eats Co., include Space City Franks with seven different hot dog recipes including H-Town Dog, Steakhouse Dog, Smokehouse Dog, Nonna's Dog, All-American Dog, Cajun Dog, and the Rodeo Dog. Essentially, each game fans could have a different hot dog found near Section 140.
Urbe, formally Hugo's, will bring fresh authentic street foods this season including chicharron guacamole, quesabirria tacos, papas bravas and more. The Urbe stand is located near midfield on the north side of TDECU Stadium.
Gameday Lemonade will be back inside TDECU Stadium in 2026 with three flavors including Shasta Strawberry, Peach Buzzer Beater and Mango Alley-Oop. Fans can add alcohol to the fresh squeezed lemonade including rum, vodka or whiskey. Gameday Lemonade stands will be featured throughout the 100- and 200-level concourses.
New this year, Cougar Eats Co. is also introducing the "Ultra Club" experience on the south concourse overlooking the Platinum and Red Lots on the 200-level at TDECU Stadium. This reimagined social space will feature shaded seating with picnic tables and high tops, creating a fun and comfortable environment for fans to eat, gather, and enjoy the energy of game day alongside nearby food and beverage offerings. The Ultra Club is designed to enhance the guest experience while bringing additional excitement, convenience, and activity to the concourse.
SEASON TICKETS
University of Houston Football season tickets are on sale for the 2026 season. For as low as $150, fans can get in on the excitement of Year 3 of the Head Coach Willie Fritz era with pivotal matchups against Oregon State, Southern, UCF, Oklahoma State, Cincinnati and Baylor as the Cougars look to improve on their 10-win season in 2025.
