Pair Selected to Biletnikoff Watch List

Thomas, Walker named to top receiver award’s preseason watch list
HOUSTON – Two Houston Football pass catchers were named to the Preseason Biletnikoff Award Watch List on Wednesday as senior wide receiver Amare Thomas and fifth year wide receiver Trent Walker were named on the list.
Following an All-American season in 2025 where Thomas was named to the Biletnikoff Watch List midseason, the wide receiver hauled in 966 receiving yards and 12 receiving touchdowns, the most by a Cougar since Tank Dell in 2022.
The Birmingham, Ala., native recorded six 20-yard touchdown receptions and three touchdowns of 50+ yards. Thomas' 2,073 receiving yards since 2023 ranks fourth among active FBS wide receivers and his 23 receiving touchdowns since 2023 ranks second among active FBS wide receivers.
A multi-year starter at Oregon State, Walker led the Beavers in receptions (68) and receiving yards (823) a season ago while snagging two touchdown passes. In 2024, Walker hauled in 901 receiving yards on 81 catches, both career-highs.
The Beaverton, Ore., native returns to the Biletnikoff Award Watch List for the second consecutive season.
