Volleyball conference schedule announced ahead of 2026 season
HOUSTON – The Houston Cougars volleyball announced its 2026 Big 12 Conference schedule on Thursday, which features five 2025 NCAA Tournament teams coming to Fertitta Center.

Houston's schedule features road trips to six 2025 NCAA Tournament teams while the Cougars host five teams that made the tournament field.

Houston opens Big 12 play with a two-match road trip to Kansas and Kansas State Sept. 25 and Sept. 27, respectively.
Â
The Cougars host their Big 12 home opener against Cincinnati on Oct. 2 before heading east to play at West Virginia on Oct. 4.

Houston then returns home to host three consecutive matches in Fertitta Center – one of its pair of three-match home stands in Big 12 play – against BYU on Oct. 8, UCF on Oct. 16 and Texas Tech on Oct. 18, whom the Cougars beat twice in 2025, to round out the three match home stand.Â

The Cougars will bus to Baylor for its first in-state Big 12 trip on Oct. 23 before heading back home to host Iowa State on Oct. 25

Halloween weekend will begin in Tucson with the Cougars playing at Arizona on Oct. 30 before traveling north to play reigning Big 12 champion Arizona State on Nov. 1.

TCU comes to Houston on Nov. 6 before the Cougars get their second swing at UCF on Nov. 8 in Orlando, Fla.

Houston then hosts three more consecutive home matches against West Virginia on Nov. 12 to complete the home-and-home with the Mountaineers, Nov. 14 against Utah and Nov. 20 against Colorado.

A trip to associate head coach Caitlin Nolan-Ayeni's alma mater Iowa State on Nov. 25 caps the regular season.

The non-conference schedule and information on season tickets and single-match tickets will be announced in the coming weeks.
