Cougars tip off vs. Cyclones at 8 p.m., Monday, inside Hilton Coliseum
AMES, Iowa – The #3/3 University of Houston Men's Basketball program will play the first of three Top0-10 opponents over the next eight days when it faces #5/4 Iowa State at 8 p.m., Monday, inside Hilton Coliseum.
The Cougars enter Monday's showdown against the Cyclones following a 78-64 win over Kansas State inside Fertitta Center on Saturday afternoon. Senior guard Emanuel Sharp poured in a game-high 23 points, thanks to three 3-pointers, to extend his school career record total to 280 in the latter category for his second straight 20-point effort.
Freshman point guard Kingston Flemings added 12 points with four assists and snared a team-high seven rebounds. It was the 14th consecutive game in which the San Antonio, Texas, native dished out 4+ assists and the 17th time in the last 18 contests.
Senior point guard Milos Uzan posted 12 points of his own with a game-high eight assists and had no turnovers in nearly 33 minutes. With that performance, Uzan now has 101 assists in 2025-26 and became the 22nd player in school history to record multiple triple-digit assist seasons as a Cougar.
Following Monday's game, the Cougars play host to #1/1 Arizona inside Fertitta Center at 2 p.m., Saturday, before facing #9/9 Kansas in Lawrence, Kan., on February 23.
