Cougars open season at UIW Twilight on Aug. 29
HOUSTON – The University of Houston Cross Country program released its 2025 schedule consisting of three regular-season meets and three postseason meets on Friday.
For a second consecutive season, the Cougars open the season at the UIW Twilight in San Antonio on Aug. 29. The team will then make two trips to College Station, Texas, for the Texas A&M Invitational on Sept. 13 and the Arturo Barrios Invitational on Oct. 17.
Postseason competition will begin on Oct. 31 when the squad heads to Lawrence, Kan., for the Big 12 Cross Country Championship at Rim Rock Farm, followed by the NCAA South Central Regionals in Fayetteville, Ark., on Nov. 14.
The cross country season will conclude at the NCAA Championships in Columbia, Mo., on Nov. 22.
The 2025 squad includes 12 returners on the women's side and five on the men's side. Six newcomers are set to make their Cougar debut in the fall.
