Cougars tip off vs. Sun Devils in first meeting as Big 12 Conference rivals at 8 p.m. (CST) Tuesday
TEMPE, Ariz. – Winners of 17 of its last 18 games, the #5/5 University of Houston Men's Basketball program returns west to face Arizona State at 8 p.m. (CST) Tuesday, inside Desert Financial Arena in the first meeting as Big 12 Conference rivals between the two schools.
#6/6 Houston (21-4 • 12-1) enters this week's game following a tough 62-58 win at #13/13 Arizona inside McKale Center in Tucson, Ariz., on Saturday. Trailing by as many as nine points at one point, the Cougars held the Wildcats without a field goal for more than six minutes to rally for the program's first win in Tucson, Ariz., since the 1967-68 season.
It was the Cougars' 11th straight road win to extend the nation's longest active streak and tied with Kansas for the longest Big 12 road winning streak in league history.
Junior point guard Milos Uzan led all players with 19 points on 8-of-12 shooting and dished out a team-high five assists with two steals, two rebounds and no turnovers in more than 38 minutes of action.
During Houston's last four games and covering more than 145 minutes of playing time, the Las Vegas native has dished out 22 assists with only one giveaway. With 122 assists and 28 turnovers, Uzan leads the Cougars and the Big 12 and ranks third nationally with a 4.36 assist-turnover ratio.

The Katy, Texas, native leads the Cougars and the Big 12 with a 40.8 3-point field goal percentage and would rank among the leaders with a 90.7 free throw percentage but falls shy of the qualifying minimums.
With Saturday's road win, senior forward Ja'Vier Francis competed in the 100th win of his Houston career. He became the sixth Cougar to reach 100 wins in his career, joining current teammate and graduate forward J'Wan Roberts, forward Fabian White Jr., point guard Jamal Shead, forward Michael Young and point guard Galen Robinson Jr.
