Cougars tip off at 7 p.m., in second meeting against the Pride
HOUSTON – Following an eight-day break from its schedule, the #7/7 University of Houston Men's Basketball program returns to action when it plays host to Hofstra at 7 p.m., Friday, inside Fertitta Center.
The Cougars (2-1) enter Friday's game following an impressive 91-45 win over Louisiana on Nov. 13 inside Fertitta Center. Sophomore guard Terrance Arceneaux came off the bench to post 14 points with five rebound and two assists while junior point guard Milos Uzan totaled 13 points with four rebounds, two steals and a game-high five assists.
Junior guard Emanuel Sharp posted 11 points with five rebounds and a game-high four steals while freshman guard Mercy Miller enjoyed the first double-digit scoring performance of his career with 12 points and a game-high-tying four steals.
This season, graduate forward J'Wan Roberts is tied with graduate guard LJ Cryer for the team lead with 12.3 points per game and joins sophomore forward Joseph Tugler atop the Cougars with 6.3 rebounds per contest.

• Friday's game will be part of Houston's Fight Hunger game. Fans are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items with donations benefiting Cougar Cupboard.
• National anthem will be performed by University of Houston Concert Chorale.
• At halftime, three fans will be randomly selected to play Price is Right: Coogs Edition.
• Student Tailgate will open at 5 p.m., Friday, in Cemo Plaza outside Fertitta Center off Cullen Boulevard. Free food and drinks are available for all UH students attending the game.
