Cougars tee off Saturday morning at Dornick Hills Country Club with Final Round on Sunday
ARDMORE, Okla. – The #36 University of Houston Women's Golf program wraps up its regular season when it competes at The Bruzzy, beginning Saturday morning at Dornick Hills Country Club.
The two-day, 54-hole event begins with an 8:30 a.m., shotgun start Saturday with 36 holes. The Final Round tees off with an 8:30 a.m., shotgun start Sunday.

MEET the COUGARS
Under the leadership of Carolyn Macow Leatherwood Head Coach Lydia Gumm, the Cougars will be represented by freshman Alexa Saldana, junior Nicole Abelar, freshman Moa Svedenskiold, freshman Natalie Saint Germain and super senior Annie Kim.
Competing in her first season with the Cougars, Svedenskiold has been a consistent leader. The Halmstad, Sweden, native tops the team with a 71.58 scoring average and 15 rounds of par or better, including eight in the 60s.
She became the first freshman to win an individual title after posting a score of 8-under 208 at the Jim West Challenge at Kissing Tree Golf Club on Oct. 23-24, 2022, and has been the Cougars' leading performer in four tournaments this season.
Saint Germain stands second on the team with a 72.25 average and 12 rounds of par or better. The Prague native set a school record with a 64 in the Final Round of the Schooner Fall Classic at Belmar Golf Club on Sept. 26, 2022.
TEAM FIELD
The Cougars will compete against student-athletes from #17 UCF, #32 Texas Tech, #35 TCU, #36 Houston, #39 Tulsa, #49 Nebraska, Charlotte, Kansas State, Miami (Fla.), Missouri, Oklahoma, Purdue, Wisconsin, WKU, host and 42nd-ranked North Texas as well as individuals from #23 Oklahoma State.

LAST TIME OUT
Houston enters this weekend's tournament after tying for fourth at the MountainView Collegiate at MountainView Golf Club in Saddlebrooke, Ariz., earlier this month.
Abelar posted a 66 in the Second Round of that tournament and joined Saldana in a tie for 17th at 4-under 212.
UP NEXT
Following The Bruzzy in Ardmore, Okla., Houston takes its first steps in the postseason when it tees off at the American Athletic Conference Championships at Southern Hills Plantation Club in Brooksville, Fla., on April 17-19.
From there, the Cougars look to compete in NCAA Regional play at one of six postseason sites on May 8-10. Those locations include University of Georgia Golf Course (Athens, Ga.); PGA National Resort (Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.); Palouse Ridge Golf Club (Pullman, Wash.); Lonnie Poole Golf Course (Raleigh, N.C.); TPC San Antonio (San Antonio, Texas) and The Club at Chatham Hills (Westfield, Ind.).
Each NCAA Regional site will feature 12 teams and six individuals. The Top Four teams and top two student-athletes (not on an advancing team) qualify for the NCAA Championship.
The 2023 NCAA Championships will be held at Grayhawk Golf Club in Scottsdale, Ariz., on May 19-24.
