BATON ROUGE, La. â€" For the second straight day, the University of Houston Women's Golf program posted the low round of the day at the LSU Tiger Classic on Saturday afternoon to take an 11-stroke advantage into the Final Round.
The Cougars, who check in at No. 26 in the latest Golfstat rankings, posted a team score of 305 for a 36-hole total of 602, 11 shots ahead of host and 48th-ranked LSU.
No. 25 Virginia (619), No. 38 NC State (621), Mercer (623), UTSA (627), SMU (630), Chattanooga (631), Southern Miss (631) and Princeton (634) rounded out the Top-10 leaders.
Individually, senior Megan Thothong continued to stand atop the individual leaderboard. The Dallas native posted a 74 in Saturday's play with three birdies and enjoyed a 2-stroke lead over LSU's Claudia De Antonio.
Junior Leonie Harm posted a 74 for the second straight round and was tied for third at 148. The Gerlingen, Germany, native sank a pair of birdies in the Second Round and drained the team's first eagle of the tournament on the 448-yard, par-5 14th hole.
Senior Courtney Tibiletti was tied for 14th at 155, while senior Allie Andersen was tied for 18th at 156. Junior Tatiana Pineda was tied for 24th at 157.
Competing as individuals, sophomore Amanda Elich was tied for eighth at 152, while junior Yuka Kajiki was tied for 52nd at 163.

FINAL ROUND on SUNDAY
Sunday's Final Round begins with an 8:30 a.m., shotgun start. The Cougars will compete in groups with student-athletes from LSU and Virginia.
Harm begins the day for the Cougars in the first group off No. 1 with Thothong (second group off No. 1), Tibiletti (No. 2), Pineda (first group off No. 3) and Andersen (second group off No. 3) following.
Elich will start in the second group off No. 17 with Kajiki (first group off No. 18) following. Admission is free, and all fans are invited to attend.
UP NEXT
Following the LSU Tiger Classic, the Cougars close out the regular season when they tee off at the Bruzzy Challenge on April 2-3 at Maridoe Golf Club in Carrollton, Texas.
From there, the team enters the postseason beginning with the American Athletic Conference Championships on the Conservatory Course at Hammock Beach Golf & Spa Resort in Palm Coast, Fla., on April 15-17.
