HOUSTON -- Former University of Houston Volleyball standout Kadi Kullerkann has signed a professional contract with Eurosped TopVolleybal in Twente (TVT) of the National Cup and CEV Cup.
"It is so great to see Kadi's drive and competiveness take her to the professional level," Head Coach Kaddie Platt said. "She will continue to make big contributions to her team and grow as a person and player. I am really happy for Kadi to have this opportunity, and know she will do great things."
A 6-4 outside hitter, Kullerkann played for the Cougars from 2011-2014. A native of Keila, Estonia, she totaled 1,047 kills, 156 blocks and 143 digs at Houston.
In 2014, Kullerkann set the American Athletic Conference record for kills (644) and kills per set (5.03). Her 644 kills, which ranked third in the nation that season, sit third all-time at Houston, while her average of 5.03 kills per set, which sat fifth in the nation, ranks fifth for the Cougars. For her efforts, Kullerkann was named The American First Team, American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Southeast All-Region and AVCA All-America Honorable Mention.
"It seemed like a perfect opportunity for me to get back to playing," Kullerkann said. "I feel confident with my skill set thanks to everyone who contributed to my development throughout my collegiate career. I think I will be able to contribute from the start while also further improving my game. I'm absolutely thrilled to start my pro career."
A two-time all-conference honoree, Kullerkann also played for the Estonia National Team competing in the World Championships in 2014.
Eurosped TVT, founded in 1970, is based in Almelo, Netherlands, and under the direction of Head Coach Jan Berendsen.
