Houston Volleyball falls 3-0 to Boise State

DENTON, Texas â€" Houston Volleyball dropped its first three-set loss (17-25, 11-25, 22-25) of the season to Boise State Saturday afternoon during the North Texas Invitational.
The Cougars fall to 6-2 on the season while the Broncos improve to 5-3 on the year. Houston sits tied with UNT, 1-1, in the tournament. Boise State stands alone in first place with a 2-0 record.
After dropping two sets to the Broncos, Houston came back for a fight in set three. The Cougars put down 14 kills, hitting .235 in the third set alone, but it wasn't enough to overcome the Broncos attack.
Freshman Brookah Palmer led the Cougars with 14 kills, hitting .393, while junior Hunter Wise was almost unstoppable on the right side as she knocked eight kills and hit .800 on the day.
Libero Olivia O'Dell posted season best 20 digs in the three-set match. Her performance reaches the top 20 all-time in a three-set match.
NEXT SERVE
Houston Volleyball returns to the North Texas Volleyball Center for the final game of the tournament. The Cougars will face the Mean Green at 7 p.m. to close out the North Texas Invitational.
