Opening Statement
"I was really proud of our kids. I thought they really came out and played hard. I have to give a lot of credit to Memphis-I thought their kids really fought towards the end. I know Ariel Hearn hit so many threes-I thought they were going to come back and get us there for a minute. I was just extremely proud of our kids."
On strategy after first media timeout
"I thought we got great looks-we just missed layups. Our main thing was just to stay with what we were doing, and we just needed to score."
On advancing to the next round
"It beats going home tomorrow. I'm ecstatic that our kids played well, and hopefully we can continue."
Sophomore forward- Marche' Amerson
On feeling heading in to tomorrow's game
"My teammates got me the ball, and I just tried to convert. A lot of credit goes to Bianca Winslow-she came in with a lot of fire and she really got us going."
On mindset during final minutes of the game
"I just kind of saw that we were struggling a little bit and I tried to come to the ball and use my speed to get over it so we didn't get a ten-second count."
