Houston Volleyball Falls 3-1 to Tulane

NEW ORLEANS, La. - After a 1-0 lead, the University of Houston Volleyball dropped in four sets (25-23, 22-25, 20-25, 21-25) to American Athletic Conference foe Tulane Wednesday night.
Houston falls to 9-6 overall, 1-2 in the conference while Tulane (3-12, 1-2) picks up its first win in conference play.
The Cougars took set one 25-23 after a point-for-point battle. From there, the Green Waves gained momentum and won three consecutive sets, 25-22, 25-20, 25-21.
Senior outside hitter Kadi Kullerkann recorded 21 kills (.278 hitting percentage) and five blocks. This match marks the sixth 20+kill match for the Estonian native.
Underclassmen Hunter Wise and Sarah Afflerbaugh followed with eight kills each.
Senior libero Natalie Keck recorded her 14th consecutive match with double-digit digs (16). Keck tallied 293 digs on the season, 1,745 career digs.
UP NEXT
The Cougars return to Houston for another conference match. Houston hosts former C-USA opponent East Carolina Sunday at 1 p.m.
