LAFAYETTE, La. - The University of Houston volleyball team swept Nicholls State in three sets (25-20, 25-20, 25-14) Saturday during day two of the Sawyer Camillo Memorial Volleyball Tournament.
Houston continues to lead the all-time series 3-1 against Nicholls State. As a team, the Cougars (5-1) only had one reception error, compared to the Colonels (1-4) six. Houston also had 11 total team blocks, a season high for the program.
Outside hitters Kadi Kullerkann and Sarita Mikals led the Cougars with eight kills each. Kullerkann recorded the highest hitting percentage (.500) of the match.
UP NEXT
Houston closes out tournament play this evening in the final match. The Cougars meet host team Louisiana-Lafayette in the final match at 6 p.m.
