TEAM NOTES
** With only seven turnovers, the Cougars recorded their fourth straight game with fewer than 10 turnovers.
** Saturday's game was the Cougars' first action since a 110-57 win over Alcorn State on Nov. 18, 2008, in Hofheinz Pavilion.
** With the win, the Cougars improved to 30-5 in the all-time series against North Texas... The Cougars also improved to 17-2 all-time against North Texas in Houston.
** With Saturday's win, the Cougars won their eighth consecutive game against North Texas... UH has not lost to the Mean Green since a 60-48 setback on Dec. 9, 1964.
** With Saturday's win, the Cougars won their fifth consecutive home games... UH has not lost to the Mean Green in Houston since a 66-65 decision on Jan. 30, 1964.
** The Cougars return to action at 7 p.m., Tuesday, when they meet Sun Belt Conference member Middle Tennessee in Murfreesboro, Tenn.

** With 20 points, junior guard Kelvin Lewis recorded his second 20-point game of the season and the fifth of his career.
** With 20 points, junior guard Kelvin Lewis recorded his second straight 20-point game (23 points, vs. Alcorn State, Nov. 18, 2008)... It was the first time in his career that Lewis recorded back-to-back 20-point games.
** With 18 points, senior center Marcus Cousin recorded a career high.. His total topped his previous best of 17 points set against Alcorn State (Nov. 18, 2008) and Presbyterian (Nov. 11, 2008).
HEAD COACH Tom Penders NOTES
** With the win, head coach Tom Penders improved to 612-411 (.598) during his career... Penders also improved to 85-50 (.630) during his UH tenure.
** With the win, Penders improved to 6-0 all-time against North Texas.
