HOUSTON - The University of Houston Cross Country team will host the 2006 Cougar Classic beginning at 6:30 p.m. Friday, September 1, 2006 at the Buffalo Bayou Park, just northwest of the University of Houston campus.
The men and women's race will begin at 6:30 p.m. The men's teams will run an eight-mile race with each team member running two miles twice. The women's teams will run a six-mile relay with each team member running 1.5 miles twice.
This will be a non-scoring meet and the results will be completed immediately following the meet. The top three teams for both the men and women will receive t-shirts. The entry fee will be $10 per team.
Directions to the Race:
-From I-45 North or South exit at Allen Parkway and proceed west to Montrose.
-Go across the light at Montrose and drop athletes off at the course site.
-Continue down Allen Parkway and u-turn at Waugh to park in the American General lot on the far east side.
