Kyle Baker joined the University of Houston Athletics Department in March 2025 as the Assistant Director of Facilities and Event Operations Management.

Baker is the primary game manager for track & field and women's tennis. In addition to his primary duties, he is the secondary manager for football and men's basketball. He is also involved in the planning and execution of all external events held at all facilities.

Prior to Houston, Baker was with OVG as the Event Manager of the Mullins Center at UMass-Amherst.

During his time at UMass, Baker oversaw all events held in the Mullins Center, including UMass hockey and basketball games, concerts and University events. He planned, directed and evaluated the work of all the building's supporting staff. He was also heavily involved in the facility safety and security operations of all events. Additionally, he had oversight of all event estimates and post-event billing.

Prior to UMass, Baker spent two seasons with Yale Athletics as an Event Management Assistant. He assisted with gameday operations for all sports and was the primary event manager for crew & rowing, tennis and squash.

Baker has been a part of several conference and NCAA tournaments, including the 2022 Ivy League Volleyball Tournament, 2023 Regional Ice Hockey Championships in Bridgeport, Conn., and several Hockey East postseason contests.

Baker is a native of Easton, Pa., and earned his bachelor's degree in Sport Management from the University of New Haven in 2023.
