Jason Weinzirl joined the University of Houston Athletics Department in July 2026 as the Senior Associate Athletics Director for Ticket Operations, Sales, and Service, where he oversees all facets of ticketing for UH Athletics events.
Weinzirl joins Houston from the University of Arkansas, where he served for nearly five years in two roles, most recently as Assistant Athletics Director for Ticket Sales and Operations. In his last role at Arkansas, he led operational and revenue initiatives that exceeded annual ticket sales revenue goals by $2.3 million in 2026 and $7.6 million in 2025.
A proven leader in both ticket sales and ticket operations, Weinzirl brings experience across four Power 4 institutions, including Kansas, Florida State, Miami, and Arkansas, with Houston marking his fifth stop. Ahead of the 2025 Arkansas men’s basketball season, he helped execute a reseating initiative that improved donor seating equity and internal inventory workflows while generating a $10 million increase in annual fund donations.
Prior to Arkansas, Weinzirl spent three years at the University of Miami, working extensively with football, basketball, and baseball in ticket operations. Before joining Miami, he worked in the ticket office at Florida State for two years.
A native of St. Charles, IL, Weinzirl began his career in college athletics as a student intern at his alma mater, the University of Kansas, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Sports Management with a minor in Business.
Weinzirl and his wife Addison have two daughters, Raya and Kira.
