Andrew Li, MD, is an Associate Professor in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at McGovern Medical School at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston.
Li serves as the Co-Medical Director and Team Physician for the University of Houston Athletics Department.
Certified by the American Board of Family Medicine, Li specializes in Primary Care Sports Medicine with an emphasis on the full care of the active person from the common cold and health maintenance to the non-operative treatment of sports related injuries and injury prevention.
His clinical interests include ultrasound guided procedures, Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP), and the management of chronic tendonopathy and arthritis. Certified in imPACT training, he also provides evaluation and management of concussions.
Li is a member of several professional organizations, including Fellow of American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP), the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine (AMSSM), the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM), International Institute for Race Medicine, Texas Academy of Family Physicians (TAFP) and Harris County Academy of Family Physicians (HCAFP).
