Brandon Maddux joined the University of Houston Department of Athletics in July 2010 as a member of the Athletics Ticket Office. In 2013, he moved to the Athletics Business Office, where he has worked his way to his current role, most recently being promoted to Senior Associate Athletics Director for Internal Operations in August 2025.
He was elevated to associate athletics director for business & human resources in December 2020.
In that role, Maddux oversees the areas of Business & Finance, Human Resources, and Equipment Operations.
Maddux, who is a native of Waco, Texas, graduated cum laude from Trinity University in 2008, receiving his bachelor's degree in business administration-marketing with a minor in physical education.
There, he played football for the Tigers and was involved in one of the craziest plays in college football history against Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference rival Millsaps on Oct. 27, 2007.
Maddux, wearing #25 in the video below, handled the football several times on the 15-lateral play, and was the last Tiger to touch the ball before the winning score.
The play, which at 62 seconds may have been the longest play in NCAA Football history, was named the Pontiac Game-Changing Performance of the Year in January 2008.
Maddux also served on Trinity's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.
After receiving his bachelor's degree, Maddux attended North Carolina, from which he received his master's degree in sport administration in 2010.
Maddux and his wife, Kristin, have two daughters Madeline and Sarah.
