HOUSTON, Texas - No. 2 Louisville swept No. 6 Marquette, 3-0 (30-21, 30-24,30-25) in the semifinals of the 2001 Healthy Choice C-USA Volleyball Tournament on Saturday at Hofheinz Pavilion. The Cardinals improve to 22-5 overall and advance to their fourth consecutive C-USA Tournament finals and fifth in school history on Sunday at 2 p.m. They will face the winner of the No. 1 Cincinnati/No. 5 DePaul semifinal matchup.
"We were more composed today than we were in the opening match," said Louisville head coach Leonid Yelin. "We didn't take Marquette for granted because they beat us in the regular season and we watched them play a good match against South Florida last night."
